dB has got 2 different applications :
1. Decibel SPL (dB SPL)
unit used to measure the strength of sound, in terms of sound pressure levels

194 dB : Shock waves

130 dB : threshold of pain

110 dB : Chain saw

90 dB : Lawn mower

60 dB : Conversation

20 dB : Whispering

0 dB : Threshold of human hearing

인체 proportion 을 위한 inch

inch 와 cm
인체 proportion 을 다룰때 inch 단위로 생각하면 감잡기 편하다.
1 inch = 2.54 cm
이지만 인치 단위는 정확한 길이보다는 비율을 생각하기 위한 도구로 생각하면 좋음
어차피 인치는 인체 길이를 기준으로 만들어진 단위 (1 inch = 1/12 feet)

대략의 인체 사이즈
6 inches = 15.24 cm ... 6 inches 는 head 의 width 임
8 inches = 20.32 cm ... 8 inches 는 head 의 length 임

대략 1 inch 를 2.5 cm 로 생각하면

6 inches = 15 cm
8 inches = 20 cm

가 되는데 이렇게 해도 별 차이는 없음

길이 감잡기
한뼘을 느슨하게 정의해서, 손을 한껏 벌리지 않고 가볍게 벌린 한뼘으로 정의하면
6 인치 = 여자 손으로 한뼘
8 인치 = 남자 손으로 한뼘
(실제로, 7 인치 정도를 한뼘(span)으로 정의하기도 한다)

12 인치 = rib cage 의 세로 길이
6 인치 = clavicle 의 길이
6 인치 = scapula 의 가로, 세로 길이
6 인치 = top of head 부터 코 밑까지의 길이
6 인치 = 코 밑에서 neck 의 pit 까지의 길이
6 인치 = neck 의 pit 부터 bottom of the sternum (명치) 까지의 길이
6 인치 = 명치부터 rib cage 밑까지의 길이
4 인치 = handbreadth 라는 단위
3 인치 = 대략 rib cage 최하단에서 pelvis 최상단에서 까지의 길이.
3 인치 = 대략의 목길이
